Ray Bradbury - Fahrenheit 451
This is a disturbing and intriguing book that gave me an insight on how life would be like without books. The mass media caters to the wants of the people and we want to be happy. Thoughts and wisdom and ideas contradict one another, so they should be abolished. Frighteningly so.
Firemen aren't what they used to do. They burn houses with books. Television evolved so much that couch potatoes should start to worry for themselves. It also gives me the feeling that people are empty without books, without freedom of thought. They live life by the day aimlessly.
and what's the point of being happy when there's no meaning in life.
There was record rainfall and major flooding at somerset yesterday afternoon and the whole time we were at Cineleisure, Kboxing away and feeling dry. The best part was when we came out the rain stopped and we didn't even see any flooding. haha
Just finished reading the Subtle Knife by Philip Pullman and I can't wait to get my hands on the Amber Spyglass, he built up such an exciting storyline to the third book! I swear my thoughts and dreams these days are going cuckoo because of too much fantasy reads

Next week on the Heroes finale: we're promised two Heroes will fall and one villain will rise.
Can you believe that the stupid writer's strike caused Heroes Season 2 to be cut by 12 episodes! December 3rd is the finale!

The only thing that scares me more than space aliens is the idea that there aren't any space aliens. We can't be the best that creation has to offer. I pray we're not all there is. If so, we're in big trouble. - Ellen DeGeneres
We Americans live in a nation where the medical-care system is second to none in the world, unless you count maybe 25 or 30 little scuzzball countries like Scotland that we could vaporize in seconds if we felt like it. - Dave Barry
Yay I have a new blog skin. Although its not my own but it's one of the nicer ones i could find out there. If only i know how to do those coding and stuffs, I could make a cooler layout!

YAY A levels are finally over. It seems like eons ago that I last sat for my physics MCQ. Although it was only 24 hours ago. Time flies when you don't want it to.
It's a funny thing now that it's finally over, i feel kinda - lost. After hours of using the computer, there's something bugging me to study or do something productive other than wasting my life away online. Then, I realised that there is actually no more studying to do! And i go back to stoning online..
Ahh.. not that im complaining though =d

After chemistry today we were supposed to be healthy boys and go for a run!
It didn't take more than 1km before we decided to go rent bikes and cycle instead...
We reached the Bedok Jetty
Followed by Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal
Back for dinner at the Lagoon
On the VJC rooftop
Seriously haven't had such fun in a long time. The best thing is that there's more to come after Tuesday!!

I had insomnia last night and i couldn't sleep till 4am. I got no idea why. As I laid on my bed, my thoughts drifted back to my childhood, and the book series i used to read then.
Animorphs - Classic
Remnants - Spaceships and intergalactic travels are adventures abound.
Everworld - Mythology could never be more interesting, especially when mixed with fantasy.
The Seventh Tower - The nicest fantasy series that I read. I even had many dreams about being the main character.
Boxcar Children - They made me wanna live in a caravan when I was young. Hey I didn't know what's a boxcar then.
Puppy Patrol - Beat this, I actually learnt some stuffs about animals from here.
Goosebumps - I could say cheese and die once, twice or even thrice.
Replica - Supernatural abilities with human cloning and genetic engineering was so captivating.
And the so many other random books that filled up the crevices of my imaginations.
Sometimes I wish I could turn back time. These books make Harry Potter seem as interesting as your PETS course book. Aha I bet you remember those times...

Feeling dam demoralised. Everybody said maths was very easy. And i actually found it hard and minus like 22 marks already. How am i supposed to get my A for maths. I can't count on chemistry and econs surely. Im SCREWED.
Is it really impossible to jump 5 grades from prelims to A levels? Whatever happened to miracles. What's the point of hoping if its just plain deceit.
Criteria for business course is AAB. If i cant even get 2As what am i supposed to do with my life! Go into arts, something that im totally foreign at? Go poly after JC? go work with a lousy A level cert??
